This policy explains what information BEE Platform collects, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you during the Beta release.
Introduction
BEE Platform, LLC ("BEE," "we," "us," or "our") operates the BEE Platform (the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and the families we serve.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Who We Are
BEE is a membership and support platform for the Autism community, including caregivers, parents, and Autistic individuals. BEE is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice, clinical services, or treatment.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:
- Account and profile information: mobile number, email address, first and last name, display name, address, profile image, privacy-consent record, login dates, and account status. Passwords are stored in hashed form.
- Social sign-in information: if you choose Google or Facebook sign-in, the provider identifier, email address, and profile information the provider makes available to us.
- Dependent information: a dependent's name, age or month and year of birth, diagnosis selections, sensory preferences, additional notes, and an optional profile image. Diagnosis, sensory, and wellbeing-related information can be sensitive personal information.
- Bee Card information: the membership identifier, member name, validity information, and the information included in the Bee Card QR code. At present, the QR code may include the caregiver's email address and mobile number. Presenting or sharing the card initiates that disclosure to the person or partner scanning or receiving it.
- Payment and billing records: subscription status, billing dates, transaction amounts, currency, invoice or refund references, payment-method type, and last four digits where available. Our payment processor handles full payment credentials; BEE does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Wellbeing-service information: a BEE-generated wellbeing-service identifier and limited entitlement, session, notification, and status information. An independent wellbeing provider may process additional information under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Photos and device permissions: if you choose to upload or capture a profile image, we may request access to your device's camera or photo library. You can decline or change these permissions in your device settings; features needing the permission may not work without it.
- Voice permissions: if an enabled wellbeing feature offers voice interaction, the mobile app may request microphone access so you can speak to that service. Speech data is processed by the independent wellbeing provider under its own terms and privacy policy; BEE does not store voice recordings from that interaction.
Location, Activity, and Personalization
We may collect your preferred ZIP code, address, location-permission status, and, if you allow it, precise latitude and longitude. We use this information to find nearby partners, personalize discovery results, and determine eligibility for location-based notifications. You can change location permissions in your device settings and update location preferences in the Platform where available.
We may record activity such as saved places, partner views, direction requests, community interactions, consultant or booking-link interactions, and related timestamps. We may use location and dependent information to personalize communities and nearby results when personalization is enabled. You can manage applicable personalization and usage-analytics preferences in the Platform. Essential security and operational logs may still be collected.
Communications, Devices, and Notifications
We may collect support-request details, such as the request type, preferred contact channel, subject, and message content. We may also collect device type, platform, push-notification token, notification preferences, and notification-delivery records to send the notification types you enable, including partner, billing, quiet-hours, and wellbeing notifications. You can disable push notifications in the Platform where available or in your device settings.
If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive transactional texts, BEE may send one-time verification and user-requested password-reset codes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. BEE does not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging-consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify mobile numbers; provide the Bee Card, partner directory, communities, subscriptions, and wellbeing access; process payments; respond to support requests; send requested messages and notifications; personalize features where enabled; protect users and the Platform; comply with law; and improve the Platform. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.
Dependents and Children's Privacy
The Platform is for adults. A caregiver may create a dependent profile only when they have authority to provide the dependent's information. Because dependent profiles may include sensitive information, caregivers should provide only information needed for the features they choose to use. A caregiver may request correction or deletion of a dependent profile by contacting us. If we learn that information was provided without appropriate authority, we may restrict, remove, or delete the profile as appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
You may update account and dependent information, manage available location, analytics, personalization, and notification preferences, and request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information. You may also request account deactivation or closure. Contact support@mybeeworld.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Deactivating an account ends access but is not necessarily the same as deleting all records. A deletion request is handled separately and may be subject to the retention described below.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, maintain security, meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain limited information after account closure or deletion when necessary for these purposes. Backup copies and information held by independent service providers may be removed on their own schedules.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform develops. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. When required by law or appropriate for a material change, we may provide additional notice or ask you to acknowledge the revised policy.
